PANAMA CITY, Panama – Panama named Wednesday a 23-man roster for two fourth-round World Cup qualifiers against Haiti slated for later in the month.

Head coach Hernan Dario Gomez called up 18 foreign-based players, including veteran defender Felipe Baloy, who has appeared in four games for Atlas during the current Liga MX campaign.

Also earning selection were the midfield duo of Anibal Godoy and Alberto Quintero, both of whom have assisted on one goal in the early portion of the San Jose Earthquakes’ Major League Soccer season.

The squad will convene in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, starting on Sunday, before traveling to Haiti (0W-0D-2L, 0 points) for the first encounter on March 25 in Port-au-Prince. They will meet again four days later at the Estadio Rommel Fernandez.

The Canaleros split their opening Group B matches, winning 2-0 at Jamaica and dropping a narrow 2-1 decision against visiting Costa Rica, which tops the table with maximum points from two games.
