The CONCACAF Integrity Department conducted workshops for all participants at the UNCAF under-20 competition (above), which is taking place July 17-29, 2014, in El Salvador.

SAN SALAVDOR, El Salvador – With the objective of protecting football’s participants from organized criminals determined to manipulate results, the CONCACAF Integrity Department conducted a series of presentations before the start of Central American qualifying for the next CONCACAF Under-20 Championship.

From July 15-18, in cooperation with the Central American Football Union (UNCAF), a CONCACAF Integrity Officer held individual sessions with each of the seven participating teams at the Salvadoran Football Federation’s offices.

Similar workshops also included all tournament match officials.

All participants were given integrity-related materials after the meetings and signed an Integrity Declaration before being allowed to take the field.

This program, which is focused on education and prevention, will take place prior to every CONCACAF, UNCAF and Caribbean Football Union competition.
