COMAYAGUA, Honduras – Honduras rallied from a two-goal deficit to defeat visiting Costa Rica 3-2 in an under-20 friendly on Tuesday at the Estadio Carlos Miranda.
The sides are preparing for the upcoming CONCACAF Under-20 Championship, which Costa Rica will host from February 17-March 5, 2017.
Andy Reyes (0-1) and Pablo Arboine (0-2) struck in the first half for the visitor, but Honduras stormed back after the break with three unanswered goals through Darixon Vuelto (53’, 1-2, 53’), Carlos Pineda (75’, 2-2 on a free kick) and Rembrandt Flores (90’+3, 3-2)
The sides will meet again on Friday at the same venue.
