WILLEMSTAD, Curacao Group C of 2020 Concacaf Men’s Under-20 Championship Qualifying was back in action on Thursday and both Guadeloupe and Curacao stayed unbeaten with victories at the Ergilio Hato Stadium in Willemstad, Curacao.

Guadeloupe kicked things off with a 4-1 win over Saint Martin. Josue Casimir notched a brace to give Les Gwada Boys their first two goals in the 29’ and 45’, sandwiching a goal from Saint Martin’s Nailon Edwards in the 41’.

Late scores from Willcyd Janky in the 86’ and William Pezeron in the 90’ sealed the three points for Guadeloupe.

The second match of the day was one of the closest and most entertaining of CU20 Qualifying thus far, as Curacao edged Belize 2-1.

Luchenthly Vrutaal gave Curacao a 1-0 lead in the 36’, but Belize responded in strong fashion through Jesse August in the 54’ to even the score 1-1.

In the end, though, Vrutaal would come through with the winning score for the group hosts with a goal in the 85’ for the 2-1 final.
