BRADENTON, Florida – Group F got underway at the 2018 Concacaf Under-20 Championship on Friday with two games that had their fair share of thrills.

El Salvador and Curacao played to one of the more entertaining matches of the day, with Los Cuscatleos winning it late 2-1.

A Gerson Sanchez goal in 60’ followed by a Rodrigo Artiga own goal in the 79’ had the teams bound for a draw, but Cristian Rosales had other ideas and stabbed home a late shot in the 89’ to give El Salvador the three points.

Also in action in Group F was Guatemala and Guyana. The Chapines kicked into gear right before halftime thanks to a strike from Rudy Barrientos.

However, the goal of the day in the group came off the right foot of Jose Ardon in the 53’ with a beautifully lofted shot from 35 yards out.

Nery Cifuentes (64’) and Oscar Santis (72’) rounded out the 4-0 scoreline to lift the Guatemalans to first place in the group.
