GROUP C

at George Town, Cayman Islands (The Annex)

Guadeloupe 5, St. Kitts & Nevis 1

GOALS:  Geordy Choisi 3’, Loic Antonides 21’, Heindrix Hebreu 55’, Ludwig Francillette 59’, Benoit Gedeon 69’ -- Geovannie Lake 37’

 

Man of the Match:  Yvann Macon (Guadeloupe)

 

Guadeloupe improved its record to 2-0-0 in Group C with a convincing 5-1 win over St. Kitts & Nevis.  For the second consecutive game, Geordy Choisi (3’) and Loic Antonides (21’) netted the first two goals.  Two minutes after the interval, though, Geovannie Lake struck for St. Kitts’ only goal.  Heindrix Hebreu restored the Gwada Boys’ two-goal advantage with 15 minutes left on the clock, while tallies from Ludwig Francillette (59’) and Benoit Gedeon 69’) completed the emphatic victory.  Guadeloupe has scored 11 goals in two games.

Curacao 1, Saint Martin 4

GOALS:  Dean Lynford Lourensz 24’ -- Federic Reymond 5’, 25’, 41’; Josua Bryan 10’

 

Man of the Match:  Federic Reymond (Saint Martin)

 

Saint Martin rebounded from Wednesday’s opening loss to Honduras with an impressive 4-1 victory over Curacao.  Federic Reymond scored three goals in a winning effort that earned him the Man of the Match award.  He restored Saint Martin’s two-goal led in the 25th minute after Dean Lynford Lourensz got Curacao on the scoreboard only seconds earlier.  Saint Martin improved to 1-0-1, while Curacao has lost both of its games.

Antigua & Barbuda 2, St. Vincent & the Grenadines 1

GOALS:  Javorn Stevens 23’, 68’ – Tevin Davis 35’+1

 

Man of the Match:  Javorn Stevens (Antigua & Barbuda)

 

Javorn Stevens scored his second goal of the game with two minutes left in regulation to lift Antigua & Barbuda to a 2-1 victory St. Vincent & the Grenadines.  The result was a morale booster to an Antiguan side that dropped a 3-0 decision to El Salvador a day earlier.  Man of the Match Stevens also netted the game’s first goal in the 23rd minute, but Tevin Davis equalized one minute into first-half stoppage time.

Martinique 4, Haiti 0

GOALS: Bryan Mont 14’, Kendrick Agot 29’, Steeven Philoces 43’, Kondjo Zebina 59’

 

Man of the Match:  Kendrick Agot (Martinique)

 

Martinique rebounded from a heart-breaking loss to Puerto Rico, scoring two goals in each half to defeat Haiti, 4-0.  Les Matinino may have let a lead slip away in Wednesday’s 2-1 setback, but it responded wonderfully to secure its first points of the competition.  Four different players got on the scoresheet in a game that Kendrick Agot captured the Man of the Match award.

Puerto Rico 1, El Salvador 3

GOALS:  Marco Arocha 70’ -- Jose Flores 5’, Gerardo Molina 26’, Carlos Herrera 68’

 

With a 3-1 over Puerto Rico, El Salvador has maximum points from its first two games at the CONCACAF Under-15 Championship.  The Cuscatlecos took a 2-0 lead into halftime thanks to goals from Jose Flores (5’) and Gerardo Molina (26’).  Carlos Herrera added an insurance tally in the 68th minute, while Puerto Rico’s Marco Arocha scored in his second straight game just before time expired.  At 2-0-0, El Salvador is the only team in the group without a loss.
