MIAMI – The 2024 Concacaf Champions Cup Quarterfinals featured young stars helping their teams advance one step closer in their trophy quest. One of the region's rising stars is CF Pachuca’s Bryan Gonzalez.

The 21-year-old is the 2024 Champions Cup On the Rise player for the quarterfinals for his performances at left back in the two legs against Herediano of Costa Rica.

Gonzalez was influential with his play on the left flank, assisting Salomon Rondon on one goal, to help Pachuca win 5-0 in the first leg. The result also marked the club’s first victory on Costa Rican soil.

A 2019 Concacaf U-17 Championship winner and part of Mexico’s runner-up appearance at the 2019 FIFA U-17 World Cup, Gonzalez celebrated his 21st birthday with a goal in the second leg in front of his home fans.

The Pachuca youth product provided one goal, one assist, two steals, and 91% passing in his 172 minutes during the quarterfinals.
