Canada falls to defeat in second Group B at 2026 U-20 Women’s World Cup 

The North Americans fall to defeat in their second Group Stage matchup.

BIELSKO-BIALA, Poland – Canada continued its 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup campaign on Tuesday, falling 3-0 against Brazil in Group B at Bielsko-Biala Stadium in Bielsko-Biala, Poland.

Brazil opened the scoring in the 7’ through a penalty from Nogueira.

Canada was left a player down after Stephanie Schoeley was shown a red card in the 25’.

Vitorinha found the back of the net in the 49’ with a hit from the top of the box after Brazil recovered possession in the final third to give the South Americans a second goal.

Brendha rounded out the result for Brazil in the 52’ with a finish from inside the penalty area to capitalize on a delivery from the right from Dulce.

Canada will continue its 2026 U-20 Women’s World Cup campaign on Friday, September 9, facing Tanzania at Bielsko-Biala Stadium in its third and final Group B fixture.
