Martínez lifts Spirit over Pachuca into W Champions Cup Final

PACHUCA, Mexico - The 2025/26 Concacaf W Champions Cup Finals continued with Washington Spirit defeating CF Pachuca Femenil, 1-nil, in the Semifinals on Wednesday at Estadio Hidalgo in Pachuca, Hidalgo, Mexico.
The hosts nearly took the lead in the 3’ on the first corner kick of the match, but the header from Kelly Caicedo was denied by the left post.
Trinity Rodman was denied by the on the other end in the 45’+3’, as her strike inside the box rebounded off the left post.
Claudia Martínez struck the lone goal of the encounter in the 81’, striking from close range after an initial attempt that was stopped by Pachuca goalkeeper Esthefanny Barreras.
The Washington Spirit will play its first W Champions Cup Final on Saturday, while Pachuca moves on to the Third Place Match that will be contested earlier in the day.
