Camberos, Kouassi, Velasco earn 2025/26 Concacaf W Champions Cup honors

PACHUCA, Mexico – The 2025/26 Concacaf W Champions Cup is in the history books following Club América Femenil’s 5-3 win over Washington Spirit in the Final on Saturday at Estadio Hidalgo in Pachuca, Hidalgo, Mexico.
The Mexican club had a dominant run to collect its first trophy, with three of its players earning individual distinctions.
Best Player Award, presented by Scotiabank: Scarlett Camberos
Club América Femenil star Scarlett Camberos is the recipient of the Best Player Award, presented by Scotiabank, for being the standout of the tournament. She netted a hat trick in the Semifinals against Gotham FC and followed up with the closing goal in the Final against Washington Spirit.
Camberos finished the tournament with nine goal contributions, the most in a single edition of the competition.
Best Goalkeeper Award: Itzel Velasco
Club América Femenil goalkeeper Itzel Velasco took the honors of the Best Goalkeeper Award. The Mexican shot stopper helped her team finish the group stage with zero goals conceded, taking part in two of the clean sheet efforts, and was vital under the three posts in the Semifinal and Final.
Top Goal Scorer Award, presented by Aramco: Rosemonde Kouassi
Washington Spirit forward Rosemonde Kouassi took the Top Goal Scorer Award, presented by Aramco. The Ivorian scored four times in the group stage, and had a brace in the Final, to finish the tournament with six goals.
Best Young Player Award, presented by Aramco: Montserrat Saldívar
Club América Femenil rising star Montserrat Saldívar is the recipient of the Best Young Player Award, presented by Aramco. The 19-year-old was a vital part of a powerhouse offense that scored 21 combined goals in the tournament.
Fair Play Award: Washington Spirit
The Washington Spirit earned the Fair Play Award as the team that best conducted themselves throughout the tournament.
