Irene Guerrero, an offensive power for Club America

Irene Guerrero brings world-class pedigree and big-game experience to América’s semifinal showdown.

MIAMI – The 2026 Concacaf W Champions Cup Finals are set to kick off on May 20 in Pachuca, Mexico, with Club América Femenil returning to the decisive stage, led by standout Game-Changer Irene Guerrero.

A FIFA Women’s World Cup winner with Spain in 2023, Guerrero has made an immediate impact since arriving in Coapa. Her career has taken her through Spain with Real Betis, Levante, and Atlético de Madrid, as well as England with Manchester United, before becoming a central figure for Club América since 2024.

Guerrero was part of América’s squad that reached the inaugural W Champions Cup Finals in the 2024/25 edition. Las Águilas have once again delivered a strong tournament performance, with the Seville native reinforcing her role as a key figure for the two-time Liga MX Femenil champions.

She has recorded three goals and one assist in four matches during the 2025/26 W Champions Cup, establishing herself as a constant presence in the starting XI and a true game-changing midfielder capable of influencing every area of the pitch.

With her mentality, leadership, and experience, Guerrero will be pivotal in Pachuca as Club América faces reigning champions Gotham FC in the Semifinals on May 20 in one of the most anticipated matchups of the tournament’s second edition.
