Pachuca secures first podium finish in tournament history

PACHUCA, Mexico – The 2025/26 Concacaf W Champions Cup Finals continued with Pachuca Femenil earning a 3-nil win over Gotham FC in the Third Place Match on Saturday at Estadio Hidalgo in Pachuca, Hidalgo, Mexico.

Charlyn Corral placed Pachuca in the lead in the 12’, capitalizing on a long ball over the opposition’s backline with a first-time left-footed finish from the center of the box.

Corral sealed her brace to extend the lead for Las Tuzas in the 38’, this time with a right-footed hit from inside the box to the bottom-right corner. Berenice Ibarra provided the assist with an individual effort down the left side.

Aline Gomes rounded out the result for the hosts in with an impressive individual play in the 84’, gliding past a defender to break into the box before burying the ball at the bottom-right corner.

With the victory, Pachuca secured Third Place and a podium finish for the first time in the W Champions Cup. The result also saw Las Tuzas defeat an NWSL opponent in the competition for the first time.
