Club América, Washington Spirit fight for the crown in W Champions Cup Final
Both clubs are in the hunt for their first Concacaf W Champions Cup title.
PACHUCA, Mexico – The 2025/26 Concacaf W Champions Cup Finals are set to conclude with Club América Femenil taking on the Washington Spirit in the Final on Saturday at Estadio Hidalgo in Pachuca, Hidalgo, Mexico.
Both clubs are in the hunt for their first Concacaf W Champions Cup title. The two have secured their first podium finish in the competition, with the Spirit currently in its debut campaign while América has bettered its fourth-place finish from the inaugural edition.
Club América enters the final after a 4-1 win over 2024/25 W Champions Cup winners Gotham FC in the Semifinals. Scarlett Camberos delivered a standout performance scoring a hat-trick, while Aylín Aviléz added the fourth goal for the Mexican side. Geyse was also key with three assists in the encounter.
Washington Spirit secured its spot in the Final with a 1-nil victory over Pachuca Femenil in the Semifinals. Claudia Martínez scored the lone goal in the 81’ to break a deadlock against the hosts.
The matchup will pit the reigning Liga MX Femenil winners against the NWSL Championship runners-up from the previous campaign. If the match is not decided in regulation, extra time and a penalty shootout, if necessary, will be played to decide the winner.
