Club América, Gotham FC face off in Semifinals
The current Mexico champions against the NWSL champions in a match that kicks-off the Finals.
MIAMI – The 2025/26 Concacaf W Champions Cup Finals kick off with Club América Femenil taking on defending champions Gotham FC in the Semifinals on Wednesday at Estadio Hidalgo in Pachuca, Hidalgo, Mexico.
The matchup marks the second meeting between the two sides in the tournament. Their previous encounter came in last year’s semifinals, where Gotham FC secured a 3-1 victory.
Club América enters in strong form after winning the Clausura 2026 Final on Sunday to collect its third Liga MX Femenil title. The Mexico City side returns its focus to the 2025/26 Concacaf W Champions Cup, where it holds a four-match unbeaten streak after topping Group A with a 3-1-0 record.
Gotham FC is aiming to become the first club to win back-to-back titles after lifting the inaugural W Champions Cup edition with a 1-0 victory over Tigres UANL in last year’s Final. The U.S. side advanced to the semifinals after finishing second in Group B with a 3-1-0 record, before going on to capture its second NWSL Championship at the end of its 2025 season.
The winner of Wednesday’s encounter will advance to the Final on Saturday. The losing side will move on to the Third Place Match on the same day.

- This will be the second time Club América and Gotham FC have faced each other in the Concacaf W Champions Cup. Their previous encounter was also in the semifinals of the previous edition, with NWSL side winning 3-1.
