USA, Guatemala Meet With Semifinal Spot at Stake

A place in the final four and a FIFA U-20 World Cup ticket are on the line in Puebla.

MIAMI – The 2026 Concacaf U-20 Championship continues on Tuesday with the United States facing Guatemala in the Quarterfinals at Estadio Universitario BUAP in Puebla, Mexico.

The United States enters the Quarterfinals as Group A winner after an undefeated Group Stage, scoring 11 goals and recording three clean sheets.

The U.S. opened with a 3-0 victory over Haiti in its opener before earning another 3-0 win against El Salvador. The team concluded the Group Stage with a 5-0 victory over Cuba. Ruben Ramos scored in all three Group Stage matches to lead the United States.

Guatemala qualified for the Quarterfinals as one of the two best third-place teams. The team finished with a 1W-0D-2L record in Group B, with a win over Antigua and Barbuda and losses against Mexico and Costa Rica.

After finishing as runners-up in the 2024 edition of the U-20 Championship, the United States will look to secure its 18th FIFA U-20 World Cup appearance.
