USA, Cuba Set for Group A Showdown

First place and knockout positioning shape the final Group A test between the USA and Cuba.

PUEBLA, Mexico – The 2026 Concacaf U-20 Championship continues with the United States facing Cuba on Friday in Group A at Estadio Universitario BUAP in Puebla, Mexico.

This encounter will mark the eighth meeting between the two nations in Concacaf U-20 Championship history. The USA leads the all-time series with a 5-2-0 record, most recently earning a 4-nil victory during the Group Stage of the 2024 edition.

The U.S. enters atop Group A with six points and six goals scored to go along with consecutive clean sheets. The Stars and Stripes are coming off a 3-nil win over El Salvador.

Cuba will look to rebound and secure a place in the Knockout Round after a 3-2 loss to Haiti. Both Cuba and Haiti are tied with three points each entering the final Group Stage matchday, with Cuba holding the advantage on goal difference.
