Schedule and Venues Confirmed for 2026 U-20 Championship

Estadio Universitario BUAP and Estadio Cuauhtémoc, in Puebla, and Estadio Banorte in Mexico City, will be the home of the competition.

Miami, FL – Following the conclusion of the official draw, Concacaf has confirmed that Estadio Universitario BUAP and Estadio Cuauhtémoc in Puebla, as well as Estadio Banorte in Mexico City, will serve as the host venues for the 2026 Concacaf U-20 Championship.

Group Stage matches will be played in Estadio Universitario BUAP and Estadio Cuauhtémoc, while the Quarterfinals will be held solely in Estadio Cuauhtémoc. The Semifinals and Final, meanwhile, will be hosted at Estadio Banorte.

During Thursday’s draw, hosted at the Confederation’s headquarters in Miami, FL, the participating Member Associations were divided into three groups of four teams each, as follows:

• Group A: United States, Cuba, El Salvador, Haiti
• Group B: Mexico, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Antigua and Barbuda
• Group C: Honduras, Panama, Canada, Jamaica

The Group Stage is scheduled to run from Friday, July 24 through Saturday, August 1, 2026.

At the conclusion of the Group Stage, the two top teams from each group and the two best third-place finishers will advance to the knockout stage. The Quarterfinals are set for August 4-5, followed by the Semifinals on August 7, and the Final on August 9, 2026.

The tournament – part of Concacaf’s revamped Youth National Team competitions calendar – will also serve as the qualifying competition for the FIFA U-20 World Cup 2027 and the 2028 Summer Olympics Men’s Football Tournament. The four teams that reach the semifinals of the 2026 Concacaf U-20 Championship will qualify for next year’s FIFA U-20 World Cup in Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, while the tournament winner will also qualify for the 2028 Summer Olympics. Should the United States—already qualified as host of the Olympics—win the regional competition, the Olympic berth will be awarded to the runner-up.

In the previous edition of the Concacaf U-20 Championship, also played in Mexico in 2024, Mexico won the title by defeating the United States 2-1 in the Final.
