Mexico, United States meet for U-20 Championship title

A rematch of the 2024 Final will crown the 2026 Concacaf U-20 Championship winner.

MEXICO CITY – The 2026 Concacaf Men’s U-20 Championship Final will see hosts Mexico take on the United States on Monday at Estadio Banorte in Mexico City, Mexico.

This fixture will be a rematch of the 2024 U-20 Championship Final, in which Mexico took the title after a 2-1 victory on home soil, earning its record 14th title in the competition.

The United States, runners-up in the 2024 edition, will look to earn their fourth U-20 Championship. The U.S. has previously won the competition three times, most recently in 2022.

Both sides will enter the Final with perfect records in the tournament thus far.

Mexico secured its place in the Final with a 2-1 win against Canada in the Semifinals. Cristóbal Alfaro and Hugo Camberos scored for Mexico, with the latter now leading the race for the tournament’s Golden Boot scorer with five goals.

The U.S. returns to the U-20 Championship Final after a 2-0 win against Costa Rica, securing the win result goals from Chris Applewhite and Rubén Ramos, who now has four goals in the tournament.
