Mexico, Guatemala Set for Group B Showdown
Mexico and Guatemala meet in Puebla with first place in Group B still in play.
PUEBLA, Mexico – The 2026 Concacaf U-20 Championship continues as Mexico takes on Guatemala in Group B on Thursday at Estadio Cuauhtémoc in Puebla, Mexico.
This meeting will mark the 12th between the two nations in the U-20 Championship, with Mexico leading the all-time series 9-2-0. Their most recent encounter was in the Group Stage of the 2024 edition, where Mexico prevailed 2-1.
Mexico earned a 2-0 victory over Costa Rica where Hugo Camberos found the back of the net again. El Tricolor is looking to close out the Group Stage with a perfect record and nine points after winning their first two games. Mexico has scored five goals and recorded a pair of clean sheets.
Guatemala rebounded from defeat in its opening match with a 4-nil win over Antigua and Barbuda, with four different players finding the scoresheet.
