Jacquet sends Haiti to Quarterfinals with victory over El Salvador 

Haiti picks up key victory in third Group A match at the 2026 Concacaf U-20 Championship

PUEBLA, Mexico – The 2026 Concacaf U-20 Championship continued with Haiti earning a 2-1 win over El Salvador in Group A on Friday at Estadio Universitario BUAP in Puebla, Mexico.

Clavens Exantus opened the scoring for Haiti in the 22’, capitalizing on a line-splitting pass from Emerson Laïssé.

Haiti was reduced to 10 players in the 56’ after Shaun Brun was shown a red card for a foul inside the box that resulted in a penalty for El Salvador.

Christian Coreas converted from the penalty spot in the 56’ to level the score for El Salvador.

Jacquet Da-Benz restored Haiti's lead in the 62’, heading home a rebound from the center of the box.

With the result, Haiti advances to the Quarterfinals, while El Salvador concludes its 2026 Concacaf U-20 Championship campaign.
