Costa Rica, Haiti Play for Final Four Spot
A Semifinal place and World Cup qualification are within reach as Costa Rica faces Haiti.
MIAMI – The Quarterfinals of the 2026 Concacaf U-20 Championship begin on Tuesday with Costa Rica facing Haiti at Estadio Universitario BUAP in Puebla, Mexico.
The winner will advance to the Semifinals and secure a place in the 2027 FIFA Men’s U-20 World Cup in Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan.
Haiti finished second in Group A with a 2W-0D-1L record to advance to the Quarterfinals. Clavens Exantus and Jacquet Da-Benz played key roles in the victory over El Salvador, helping Les Grenadiers finish the Group Stage with six points.
Costa Rica also advanced as the Group B runner-up with a 2W-0D-1L record. A victory over Antigua and Barbuda in its final Group Stage match brought the team to six points and secured a place in the Quarterfinals. Goals from Dax Palmer, Ethan Barley, Yerlan Sosa and Kionell Estrada accounted for Costa Rica’s five goals during the Group Stage.
