Bent’s winner lifts Jamaica over Honduras in U-20 Championship

Jamaica collected its first victory of the 2026 Concacaf U-20 Championship

PUEBLA, Mexico – The 2026 Concacaf U-20 Championship continued with Jamaica earning a 2-1 win over Honduras in Group C on Sunday at Estadio Universitario BUAP in Puebla, Mexico.

Jahmarie Nolan opened the scoring for Jamaica when he found the back of the net in the 22’.

Honduras equalized in the 75’ off a through ball from Nicolás Balbás that was slightly redirected by Sam Valle, setting up Victor Salazar for the finish.

The Reggae Boyz secured all three points in the 90’+5’ when a corner kick chance led to Brandon Bent’s match-winning goal.

Jamaica will continue its campaign against Panama on Wednesday. Honduras will seek to rebound against Canada later that day.
