Wins for Montserrat, Saint Martin, and Aruba in League C opening day

Montserrat, Saint martin and Aruba took command of their groups in League C.

MIAMI – The 2026/2027 Concacaf Nations League kicked off on Wednesday with League C Group Stage action.

Montserrat secured victory over Turks and Caicos Islands in Group A, Saint Martin defeated Bahamas in Group B, and Aruba sealed a win against Antigua & Barbuda in Group C.

Turks and Caicos Islands 0, Montserrat 2

Matchday 1 opened with a 2-nil victory for Montserrat against Turks and Caicos Islands in Group A at TCIFA National Stadium in Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands.

Ashley Boatswain placed Montserrat in the lead in the 41’ with a finish from inside the penalty area as he scored the first goal of the 2026/2027 Nations League.

Boatswain sealed his brace and the result for the visitors in the 69’ through a header on a set piece situation.

Bahamas 0, Saint Martin 8

Group C opened with Saint Martin defeating Bahamas 8-nil at Bethlehem Soccer Stadium in St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands.

Saint Martin started off with five goals in the first 45 minutes: Axel Raga opened the scoring in the 15’, while a goal from Yanis Montantin in the 23’, a brace from Jordan Alexandre with strikes in the 20’ and 32’ and an own goal in the 41’ completed the first half goal galore.

The second half saw Saint Martin round out the result with strikes from Raga in the 52’ and 63’ as he sealed a hat-trick, and a late goal from Pierre-Bertrand Arné in the 80’.

Aruba 1, Antigua and Barbuda 0

Aruba secured a 1-nil victory over Antigua and Barbuda in Group B at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in North Sound, Saint George, Antigua and Barbuda.

Aruba sealed the victory in dramatic fashion, with substitute Mishawn Molina scoring the winner with a late header in the 90+3’.
