Concacaf Launches Presidents’ Corner to Support Leadership at the Highest Level
The new presidential leadership program has been created exclusively for Presidents of Concacaf Member Associations.
Miami, FL – Designed as a private and confidential forum, Presidents’ Corner gives Member Association Presidents a dedicated space to step away from the day-to-day demands of their roles and engage in meaningful conversations about the realities of leadership at the highest level.
The program focuses on key areas including leadership under pressure, personal resilience, decision-making and well-being, combining open discussion with practical tools that Presidents can apply to the unique challenges of leading football organizations across the region.
The inaugural session took place in early September and brought together Spanish-speaking Member Association Presidents from North America, Central America and the Caribbean in a small-group setting designed to encourage candid dialogue, reflection and the exchange of experiences among peers.
“Leadership comes with tremendous responsibility, and at this level, it also comes with significant pressure. Presidents’ Corner is about creating a trusted space where our Member Association Presidents can step away from the day-to-day, speak openly with their peers, and access practical tools that can help them lead with greater resilience and confidence,” said Concacaf President and FIFA Vice President Victor Montagliani.
“Over the past decade, we have invested significantly in the development of players, coaches, referees and football leaders across our region. Presidents’ Corner builds on that commitment by providing a program specifically tailored to the unique demands faced by those leading our Member Associations. By investing in our leaders, we are ultimately strengthening football across the entire Concacaf region,” concluded Montagliani.
Leadership in football today extends far beyond decisions on the field. Presidents are responsible for navigating increasingly complex organizations, managing expectations from multiple stakeholders and making consequential decisions, often under significant pressure.
Presidents’ Corner was developed in recognition of those realities and the importance of supporting leaders not only in their institutional responsibilities, but also in their personal effectiveness, resilience and well-being.
The program also reflects Concacaf’s broader commitment to strengthening leadership and governance across its 41 Member Associations by creating opportunities for leaders to learn from one another, share experiences and develop practical approaches to the challenges they face.
Through programs such as Presidents’ Corner, Concacaf remains committed to investing in its leaders and supporting the people responsible for driving the continued growth and development of football across North America, Central America and the Caribbean.
