Concacaf Hosts Financial Planning Workshop to Strengthen Member Association Governance
Concacaf recently hosted a Financial Planning Capacitation workshop at its headquarters in Miami, Florida, bringing together representatives from Member Associations for a focused session on financial governance, planning, and accountability.
The workshop forms part of Concacaf’s ongoing efforts to support its 41 Member Associations through practical learning opportunities that strengthen administrative capacity and help build more sustainable football organizations across the region.
As Member Associations continue to receive funding from Concacaf, FIFA and other sources, including sponsorships, broadcast opportunities and matchday revenues, strong financial planning has become increasingly important. The session was designed to support MAs in meeting growing fiduciary and stewardship responsibilities, while reinforcing the importance of transparent and accountable financial systems.
Participating Member Associations were invited to register up to three delegates, with representatives first completing the Finance Fundamentals course through the Concacaf Academy. The in-person workshop in Miami then built on that learning through a review of the online course and discussions focused on financial planning, budgeting and the One Concacaf Program.
The workshop also included bilateral discussions with each participating Member Association, providing an opportunity for tailored guidance and direct engagement around their specific financial planning needs and priorities.
Through this initiative, Concacaf continues to invest in the professional development of its Member Associations, ensuring they have the knowledge, tools and support needed to manage resources responsibly and continue advancing football at every level.
