Concacaf and the Public Investment Fund (PIF) have announced Concacaf Next Game Plan Presented by PIF, a new digital-led initiative designed to help equip women footballers with the tools, education, and opportunities needed to succeed beyond their playing careers. The program is part of the organizations’ multi-year partnership and reflects a shared commitment to strengthening the professional ecosystem for women’s football across the region.

Developed under Concacaf’s broader Bigger Game platform, Next Game Plan was created to help address a critical gap in the women’s football landscape: access to structured resources that support players as they transition from the pitch into long-term professional careers. Through an easy-to-access digital learning platform, the initiative will offer high-quality, on-demand modules focused on career planning, leadership, financial literacy, professional readiness, and personal branding, while also creating mentoring and networking opportunities for participants.

The platform was previewed for players and stakeholders in Los Angeles in early April, where the response confirmed both the need for and the potential of the initiative. The event served as an important first step in introducing the program and reinforcing Concacaf’s continued investment in the women’s game by growing opportunities on the field and helping players prepare for success beyond it.

Over the last decade, Concacaf has made meaningful progress in building a stronger women’s football ecosystem across the region, from expanding competitions and increasing visibility to creating more intentional pathways for development. Next Game Plan builds on that foundation by focusing on a new dimension of player support: helping women footballers navigate the transition into life after football with confidence, preparation, and community.

“The launch of Concacaf Next Game Plan Presented by PIF reflects the strength and shared vision of our strategic partnership with PIF, which is rooted in a commitment to creating lasting impact across our region.” said Heidi Pellerano, Chief Commercial Officer at Concacaf. “Together, we are introducing this new initiative and improving existing Concacaf programs that leverage football to deliver education and advance opportunities for women footballers at every level on and off the pitch.”

The academic design, curriculum architecture, workbooks, and platform development for Next Game Plan were led by Virtus Sports Group, in collaboration with former professional women players who helped shape the program’s content, tools, and frameworks. This player-informed approach ensures the platform is practical, relevant, and tailored to the real needs of athletes planning for the future.

“Concacaf Next Game Plan Presented by PIF is an important initiative because it recognizes that player development should be viewed holistically,” said Jason Roberts, Chief Football Development Officer at Concacaf. “Supporting women footballers means investing not only in their growth on the pitch, but also in the knowledge, confidence, and skills that can help them build successful futures both on and off the field. As part of our Bigger Game platform, this program will strengthen the game and support women players across our region.”

Beginning in June, the platform will be made available to more than 200 players across Concacaf’s 41 Member Associations, as well as eligible Saudi women footballers nominated by the Saudi Arabian Football Federation. Participants will gain access to key learning pillars centered on education, career planning, and financial literacy.
