Caribbean Cup Returns, U-20 Championship Enters Decisive Stretch
MIAMI – The start of the 2026 Concacaf Caribbean Cup, as well as the knockout stage of the 2026 Concacaf U-20 Championship highlight This Week in Concacaf.
Additionally, the 2026 Concacaf Central American Cup enters the second week of competition.
2026 Concacaf Caribbean Cup
The Concacaf Caribbean Cup kicks off its fourth edition with 10 clubs beginning their journey toward the regional title.
The first matchweek begins with two matches on Tuesday, including Jamaica’s Portmore United FC hosting Dominican Republic’s Salcedo FC for the tournament’s opener.

At the conclusion of the competition, the finalists and third-place finisher will qualify for the 2027 Concacaf Champions Cup, with the champion receiving a bye to the Round of 16.
2026 Concacaf U-20 Championship
The 2026 Concacaf U-20 Championship rolls on with the knockout stages beginning this week.
Two quarterfinal encounters will be played on Tuesday, as Costa Rica will face Haiti and the United States will take on Guatemala.

The eight remaining national teams are competing for the regional title and qualification to the FIFA U-20 World Cup 2027 and 2028 Summer Olympics. The four semifinalists will qualify for the World Cup, while the tournament champion will also qualify for the Olympics.
The Quarterfinals will continue through Wednesday, followed by the Semifinals on Friday and the Final to crown a new champion on Sunday.
2026 Concacaf Central American Cup
The fourth edition of the Concacaf Central American Cup carries on with the second week of competition.
The matchweek begins with three Group Stage fixtures on Tuesday, including Costa Rica’s LD Alajuelense, three-time defending champion of the Central American Cup, visiting Nicaragua’s Diriangén FC.
