TEGUCIGALPA, Honduras – Group Stage action in the 2026 Concacaf Central American Cup continued on Wednesday with FC Motagua and CS Cartagines playing out a 1-1 draw at Estadio Nacional Chelato Uclés in Tegucigalpa, Honduras.

The visitors opened the scoring in the 18’, with José González finding the back of the net with a towering header to capitalize on a cross from Manuel Morán from the right.

Motagua found the equalizer in the 42’ through an own goal from Diego Mesén.

Motagua continues its Central American Cup campaign with a visit to CSD Municipal in its final Group Stage fixture on Tuesday, August 22. Cartaginés is set to host Verdes FC on Tuesday, August 18 in its next match.
