FAS looks to build on its victory from Matchday 3, while Municipal aims to continue unbeaten start and secure Quarterfinals berth.

SAN SALVADOR, El Salvador - The 2026 Concacaf Central American Cup continues on Wednesday with Club Deportivo FAS hosting CSD Municipal in Group D at Estadio Cuscatlán in San Salvador, El Salvador.

The meeting will mark the first time the clubs face off in an official competition.

The hosts enter the match with aims of building on their historic first victory in Central American Cup history; FAS defeated Verdes FC 4-1 at home as four different scorers – Miguel Murillo, Juan Vega, Edgar Medrano, and Melvin Urbina – powered the Salvadorian side to victory.

Municipal, meanwhile, is set for its third Group D fixture. The Guatemalan club is currently unbeaten in the tournament, with a win and a draw for a total of four points through two matches. In its most recent match, Municipal topped Verdes FC 1-0 on the road through a strike from Alejandro Cabezas.

Notably, with a victory Municipal can secure a spot in the Quarterfinals if CS Cartaginés fails to win its match against Verdes.
