Alianza FC meets with FC Motagua for second Quarterfinal Leg

The Salvadoran club will play to flip the 3-nil deficit against Motagua.

MIAMI – The 2026 Concacaf Central American Cup continues with Alianza FC hosting FC Motagua on Wednesday for the second leg of their Quarterfinals series at Estadio Cuscatlán in San Salvador, El Salvador.

FC Motagua carries the advantage into this encounter after the 3-nil home win in the first leg thanks to goals by Oscar Padilla, Jefryn Macias, and Jose Reyes.

Making their fourth consecutive Quarterfinal appearance, the Honduran club is unbeaten so far in the 2026 CAC edition, looking to advance to the Semifinals for the first time, having been eliminated in all three previous editions.

Alianza FC have been strong at home in the Central American Cup, winning four of their six home matches in the competition.

The Salvadoran club will be looking to use that to their advantage in hopes of flipping the 3-nil deficit from the Quarterfinals First Leg.

• FC Motagua has scored four goals from crosses in the current Concacaf Central American Cup, more than any other team in the competition. Two of those came in the first leg against Alianza FC, scored by Óscar Padilla and Jefryn Macías.
