MIAMI, Florida – The February window of 2022 Concacaf W Qualifying closes on Tuesday with the 12 teams in action all seeking their first victories of the campaign.

Suriname vs Anguilla

In Group A, Suriname will take on Anguilla in Paramaribo, Suriname in what each team hopes is a bounce back performance. Suriname fell 9-0 in their opener versus Mexico, while Anguilla went down 9-0 to Puerto Rico.

Both sides held their own in the opening half-hour of each game before succumbing to their opponent’s pressure. A chance to improve things will be there for the taking on Tuesday.

Saint Kitts and Nevis vs Curacao

Saint Kitts and Nevis will square off with Curacao in Group B, with the teams meeting in the Dominican Republic. In their opening matches, Saint Kitts and Nevis were defeated 7-0 at Costa Rica, while Curacao suffered a 6-0 loss against Guatemala.

Saint Kitts and Nevis did well to keep the Ticas in check for most of the first half, while a quick start for Guatemala hurt Curacao’s chances of a result.

Bermuda vs Cayman Islands

The IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida will be the site of Tuesday’s encounter in Group C and it promises to be a good one between Bermuda and Cayman Islands. Both teams boast players who helped their respective Under-20 teams qualify for the Concacaf Women’s Under-20 Championship, including CWU20 Qualifying top scorer Molly Kehoe of Cayman Islands.

Bermuda played 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup side Jamaica to a 4-0 final in which the Reggae Girlz led only 2-0 entering the final 10 minutes, while Cayman Islands equally proved a tough foe for Dominican Republic in a 4-0 defeat.

Barbados vs Aruba

Barbados and Aruba are set to meet in the Dominican Republic in Group D on the heels of their opening matches. Barbados kept Panama off the scoresheet for 40 minutes before eventually succumbing 5-0 to the Canaleras. Meanwhile, Aruba were one of the few losing sides in the first matches of W Qualifying to have scored a goal, as they found the back of the net in a 7-1 loss to El Salvador.

Kiomy Luperon Herasme scored in the 90’ against the Cuscatlecas and now she and her Aruba teammates will be on the hunt for more goals against Barbados.

Honduras vs British Virgin Islands

Honduras will be at home in the friendly confines of San Pedro Sula when they face British Virgin Islands in Group E. The Catrachas lost 6-0 to Haiti in their opener, while BVI suffered a 14-0 defeat to Cuba. No doubt that both sides will look to make great strides in Tuesday’s affair.

Nicaragua vs Turks and Caicos

Rounding out the action is Nicaragua hosting Turks and Caicos Islands in Managua in Group F play. Nicaragua were involved in one of the most exciting matches of W Qualifying thus far, narrowly falling 2-1 to Trinidad and Tobago. Yessenia Flores scored for the Pinoleras and will no doubt want more against a Turks and Caicos Islands side that will try to improve upon their opening 7-0 defeat to Guyana.
