MIAMI, Florida – Costa Rica will be aiming to claim the top spot in Group C of League A of the Road to W Gold Cup when they face Saint Kitts and Nevis at the SKNFA Technical Centre in Basseterre, Saint Kitts and Nevis.
Costa Rica are still in contention for a first-place finish in the group following their dramatic, last-second 2-1 victory against Haiti on Thursday night.
Currently, the Ticas are in second-place with six points, three points behind leaders Haiti, with Haiti having already completed their campaign.

The Haitians also own a superior goal difference by 13 goals, so Costa Rica would need to defeat Saint Kitts and Nevis by 14 goals in order to capture first-place.
Both Costa Rica and Haiti are at least assured a place in the 2024 W Gold Cup Prelims, however the group winner will confirm a spot in the W Gold Cup group stage.
Costa Rica’s last meeting with Saint Kitts and Nevis ended in an 11-0 win for the Ticas, with Melissa Herrera and Priscila Chinchilla each notching hat tricks, while Raquel Rodriguez bagged a brace.
Saint Kitts and Nevis will be hoping to end on a positive note with a good result and a first goal in the RTWGC.
Phoenetia Browne has registered three shots, while Tarvia Phillip has been solid as well with seven clearances.
