Brazil started with high intensity. FW Geyse caught a ball that the defensive line failed to clear and launched a banger into the back of the net in the 4’, the quickest goal so far in the tournament for the Verdeamarela.

They kept their tally going, with FW Beatriz Ferreira scoring the second one of the evenings in the 11’ when she was on the end of a long pass from FW Bia Zaneratto, getting past Panama GK Yenith Bailey with a header.

Las Canaleras tried to answer in the 12’ on a FW Marta Cox free kick, with DF Rebeca Espinosa trying to head past Brazil GK Gabriela Barbieri, the ball going wide off the post.

The third goal for Brazil came from a corner kick in the 23’. FW Debinha placed the ball in the center of the área and captain and DF Rafaelle did not miss her chance with her header going in for the score and a 3-0 lead.

After two assists, Debinha showed up again in the 51’, this time with a goal after Panama DF Wendy Natis failed to clear the ball close to the área. The Brazil forward took advantage to score her first goal of the tournament.

The fifth and final goal of the evening came in the 74’, as Geyse pounced on a rebound and swept a shot home to complete the 5-0 scoreline.
