MIAMI, Florida – The first window of League C of the Road To W Gold Cup is complete. Many players delivered top performances over the course of the matches, yet these 11 players stood out the most at their respective positions.

Goalkeeper

Idania Ruiz, Belize

Belize could not have asked for a better start to their campaign than with two clean sheet victories, helped by Ruiz’s two saves and two clearances.

Defenders

Yatmisleydis Nunez, Cuba

Not only did Nunez put in a good shift in the back in Cuba’s 2-1 win over Saint Lucia, but she also chipped in on the attacking end with an assist.

Mikhaila Bowden, Belize

Bowden made her presence felt at both ends, scoring the first goal of the game in both the 2-0 opener versus Aruba and the 3-0 victory against Bonaire.

Racquel John, Saint Lucia

John led all players in League C with 11 clearances, as Saint Lucia rebounded from the late loss to Cuba with a solid 5-1 win at Guadeloupe.

Midfielders

Molly Kehoe, Cayman Islands

Kehoe has a knack for scoring in Concacaf games and did so again, tallying a late equalizer to give Cayman Islands a point at home in the 2-2 draw with Anguilla.

Carlia Johnson, Anguilla

Anguilla’s tournament got off to a roaring start thanks to Johnson, who notched a hat trick in Anguilla’s 3-1 home win against Cayman Islands.

Malia Ramdhanny, Grenada

Ramdhanny scored on a free kick in the 6-1 victory at Bahamas and finished the window with eight clearances.

Arnicka Louis, Saint Lucia

One would be hard-pressed to find a better performance from a player during this window than Louis against Guadeloupe, as her four goals paved the way for a 5-1 win.

Forwards

Aisse Gumbs, Aruba

Gumbs scored a pair of goals to help pave the way for a 5-0 Aruba win versus Turks and Caicos Islands. She also had an assist and a clearance during the window.

Nia Thompson, Grenada

Thompson was a big reason why the Grenada attack took flight in this window with 10 goals. The Spice Girlz striker bagged a brace in the 6-1 away win at Bahamas and then a hat trick in the 4-1 home win against Bahamas, giving her five goals in two games.

Khalydia Velasquez, Belize

Velasquez had a pair of second half goals to make sure Belize would have no problems with Bonaire in their 3-0 victory.
