SAN PEDRO SULA, Honduras – With Canada (2W-0D-0L, 6 points) already assured of advancing, the second and last semifinal berth from Group B will be decided Tuesday at the Escuela Internacional Sampedrana.
That matter can be settled by the late morning if Jamaica (0W-1D-1L, 1 point) doesn’t defeat previously-eliminated Trinidad & Tobago (0W-0D-2L, 0 points) in an all-Caribbean pairing. Anything less than maximum points for the Reggae Girlz will see host Honduras (1W-1D-0L, 4 points) progress even before it faces the Canadians in the afternoon.
If Jamaica loses to or draws, the Honduras-Canada encounter will still have significance with final-four seeding at stake.
