2022 CWU17C final rosters announced

Miami, FL – The final 20-player rosters for all the national teams competing in the 2022 Concacaf Women’s U-17 Championship (CWU17C) have been submitted ahead of the start of the tournament on Saturday, April 23.

 

The rosters have been selected and submitted by each Member Association and are published as such. In order to be eligible to play in the 2022 CWU17C, all players are subject to and must fully comply with the criteria stipulated in the applicable FIFA player eligibility regulations.

In accordance with the Competition Regulations, changes to the final rosters will only be allowed in the event of force majeure or injury up until 24 hours before each team’s group stage first match. All changes must be approved by Concacaf.

 

The 2022 CWU17C will be disputed in two rounds, beginning with a 16-team group stage. After round robin play, the top three teams in each group will advance to the knockout stage joining the four best teams from CWU17 Qualifying.

 

The knockout stage of the competitions (round of 16, quarterfinals, semifinals, third place match and final) will all be played in a single match direct elimination format.

 

At the conclusion of the event, the champion, runner-up and third place finisher will qualify for the 2022 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in India in October of 2022.

The United States is the current champion (fourth title overall) of the CWU17 following a 3-2 win over Mexico in the 2018 Final.
