MIAMI, Florida Puerto Rico made it two wins from two matches at the 2022 Concacaf Men’s Under-17 Championship Qualifiers with an 8-0 victory over Anguilla in Group B on Friday morning at the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida.

It was a memorable day for Leonard Aviles Jr., who scored a hat trick (3’, 11’, 45+1’), while Jorge Vazquez (8’, 19’) bagged a brace. Also finding the back of the net for the Boricuas was Ian Charles (34’), Adrian Rosario (61’) and Eric Suster (89’).

Reangelo Boekhoudt completed the 3-0 scoreline with a late goal in the 85’.

Saturday will see a return to action for the teams in Group A and Group C.

To start the day in Group A at the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, it will be a battle of unbeatens between Bermuda and Bonaire, with both sides having won their first two matches. Guyana will be aiming for a second straight win when they face a Saint Martin team on the hunt for their first result of the tournament. It will be the first ever CMU17Q meeting in both matches.

Meanwhile, Bahamas are seeking a second win in three games, as they take on British Virgin Islands. The lone previous CMU17Q meeting between Bahamas and British Virgin Islands ended with a 1-0 win for British Virgin Islands in 2016.

Later in the day in Group C at the Estadio Olimpico Felix Sanchez in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, the host nation will be looking to make it nine points from three games against another team with a perfect record thus far, Saint Kitts and Nevis. The only other CMU17Q match between these teams was back in 1994 when the Dominican Republic won 7-1.

The action, though, in Group C will begin with Cayman Islands tangling with Dominica for the first time ever in CMU17Q, with the winner claiming their first three points of the tournament.
