MIAMI, Florida – Martinique collected their first win in Group B of the 2022 Concacaf Men’s Under-17 Championship Qualifiers with a commanding 12-0 victory over US Virgin Islands on Sunday morning at the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida.

Leading the way for Les Matinino were Matheo Demoniere-leprix (48’, 54’, 80’, 83’) and Donovan Roque (58’, 74’, 87’, 88’), who each scored four goals. Noa Thine (34’, 43’) also added a brace, while a Noah Le Curieux-lafayette (40’) penalty conversion and a USVI own goal completed the 12-goal outing for Martinique.

In the other match of the day in Group B, Aruba earned another three points in a 2-0 final versus
Anguilla. Aruba now have three wins in three matches thanks to goals from Reangelo Boekhoudt in the 15’ and Juan Croes in the 83’.

On Monday the action will shift back to Group A at the IMG Academy where Bermuda will try to
keep their perfect record intact with a fourth win when they take on Bahamas.

It will be the fourth CMU17Q meeting between the two sides. Bahamas claimed a 1-0 win in 2010, while Bermuda were victorious in the next two, 5-1 also in 2010 and then 4-0 in 2014.

Guyana have two straight triumphs under their belt and will be keen to make it three when they
face British Virgin Islands, while Bonaire will aim to shake off their previous loss to Bermuda against Saint Martin.

Guyana took the last CMU17Q contest against BVI in a 13-0 final in 2012, while Bonaire and Saint Martin drew 0-0 in their lone previous meeting in 2019.
