BRADENTON, Florida Both Bonaire and Guadeloupe nailed down victories in Group C action in 2019 Concacaf Under-17 Championship Qualifying on Thursday in Bradenton, Florida.

Bonaire collected its first victory of the tournament in a 4-2 triumph over Bahamas. Goals from Khalil Rier in the 11’ and Aquino Ceciliain the 26’ gave Bonaire a 2-0 lead, only for Mason Lowe to pull one back for Bahamas in the 32’.

But a score a minute later from Jamison Sint Jago in the 33’, followed by a goal from Jamrick Sint Jago in the 54’ would give Bonaire a healthy second half lead.

Bahamas looked to mount a comeback and Roen Davis made it 4-2 in the 79’, but the Bonaire defense would hang on the rest of the way to earn the three points.

Also in action on the day was Guadeloupe, who picked up its second win in CU17 Qualifying with a 1-0 victory against Saint Martin.

Kenny Meddy Mixtur’s goal in the 64’ proved enough for Les Gwada Boys.

Group C will resume on Sunday as Bahamas squares off against Guadeloupe, while Aruba duels with Bonaire.
