USA, Puerto Rico clash for top of group in Women’s U-17 Qualifiers
MIAMI – The Final Round of the 2026 Concacaf Women’s U-17 Qualifiers begins its final matchday with the United States facing Puerto Rico in Group B on Sunday at the Costa Rica Federation Field #1 in Alajuela, Costa Rica.
Both nations enter their final encounter with two victories and six points. The USA is coming off a 9-nil win against Haiti, while Puerto Rico defeated Bermuda by the same scoreline.
The top of the group, and a berth to the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup Morocco 2026, is up for grabs for the winner. If the case of a draw, USA would hold on to first place on goal difference.
The team that finishes second may still qualify to the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup if it finishes as the best runner-up across the three groups.
