Shaw hat-trick leads Jamaica victory over Antigua
KINGSTON, Jamaica – The 2025/26 Concacaf W Qualifiers continued with Jamaica securing a 4-nil victory against Antigua in Group B on Friday at the National Stadium in Kingston, Jamaica.
The hosts went out in search of the opener in the first half, including hitting the woodwork on three separate occasions. Khadjia Shaw ultimately found the breakthrough goal for Jamaica from the penalty spot in the 45’+1’.
Shaw further extended the lead for the Reggae Girlz with two strikes to secure her hat-trick on the night. First, finding the back of the net in the 55’ with a quick control and finish from the center of the box, followed by a diving header in the 55’. Kiki Van Zanten provided the assists for both goals.
Deneisha Blackwood converted a penalty in the 90’+1’ to round out the result for Jamaica.
Antigua will retake the pitch on April 14 with a visit to Dominica. Jamaica will be in search of another win in the W Qualifiers when it hosts Guyana on April 18.
