LOS ANGELES -- The Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) announced Wednesday the signing of goalkeeper Luis Lopez.

The 24-year-old Honduras international spent the past five years with Real España, making 124 appearances since his debut in 2013. Last season, Lopez helped the Aurinegros capture the 2017 Honduran Apertura title.

"Luis is an athletic goalkeeper who is very good with the ball at his feet," said LAFC head coach Bob Bradley. "He will bring great experience having played in big matches throughout his career."

Lopez earned the first of his 12 caps in Honduras' 3-0 loss at Venezuela on September 4, 2015, going on to play four matches in the 2017 CONCACAF Gold Cup and two in CONCACAF qualifying for the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
