Honduras closes with win

TEGUCIGALPA, Honduras – The 2025/26 Concacaf W Qualifiers continued with Honduras defeating Barbados , 4-nil, in Group F on Friday at Estadio Nacional Chelato Uclés in Tegucigalpa, Honduras.

Allyson Reed broke the deadlock in the 9’ to place Honduras in the lead, with a powerful hit from the right end of the box that bounced off the far post and into the back of the net. Dennise Madrid provided the assist on the play.

Alexandra Merriam doubled the advantage for the hosts in the 60’ with a finish from close-range to capitalize on a grounded cross from Bárbara Murillo .

Murillo converted a penalty in the 70’ to add a third for Las Catrachas.

Jazlyn Sánchez rounded out the victory for Honduras in the 85’, capping off a team play with a finish from the center of the box. Reed recorded the assist for the final goal of the match.

With the result, Honduras finishes third in Group F with four points and a 1-1-1 record.

Barbados wraps up its campaign in fourth place in Group F with a 0-0-3 record.
