Dely Valdes departs Tauro

(Photo: Mexsport) PANAMA CITY, Panama – Tauro FC announced Tuesday that it has reached an agreement with head coach Jorge Dely Valdes to end their contractual relationship. In a statement, the Panamanian club revealed that Dely Valdes is exploring another opportunity in Central America.  Former Panama international Alfredo Poyatos, 50, was appointed as Tauro’s new manager ahead of the 2015 Clausura. Dely Valdes was brought on board in early August , following the resignation of Rolando Palma.  The 47-year-old helped Tauro recover from a slow start to the season and earn a place in the 2014 Apertura semifinals, where it was eliminated by eventual runner-up Sporting San Miguelito. Tauro also participated in the 2014/15 CONCACAF Champions League, posting a 0W-0D-4L record in Group 4 play.
