Bowden, Terry lead Belize win

PARAMARIBO, Suriname – The 2025/26 Concacaf W Qualifiers continued with Belize earning a 2-nil win over Suriname in Group D on Friday at Dr. Ir. Franklin Essed Stadion in Paramaribo, Suriname.

After a scoreless first half, Belize finally opened the scoring in the 70’ when Mikhaila Bowden drilled a high shot from the penalty spot.

Six minutes later, Belize doubled its lead as Alisha Terry blasted a shot from the center of the box in the 76’.

Belize concluded its participation in the tournament with a 2-0-2 record for a third-place finish in the group. Suriname ended its campaign in fourth place of Group D with a 1-1-2 mark.
