Latchoo names five newcomers to Dominica squad

ROSEAU, Dominica - Dominica National Team Head Coach Rajesh Latchoo has included five newcomers to his 20-man squad for this Sunday's international friendly versus Antigua and Barbuda at the Antigua Recreational Ground.

MF Arlington Fritz, FW Javid George, FW Scott Hazel, DF Kassim Peltier and FW Reon Cuffy are the first-timers looking to make a good impression on the former Trinidad and Tobago Women's Youth National Team coach.

Overall, the squad will consist of two goalkeepers, six defenders, six midfielders and six strikers.

In a statement released by the Dominica Football Association, Latchoo expects the friendly against the Benna Boyz to serve as good preparation for Dominica's upcoming 2019/20 CONCACAF Nations League qualifying campaign in which they face Suriname, Canada, Sint Maarten and Bahamas.

"The players have worked hard over the last few weeks and this game will afford the opportunity to assess the players as they move forward," said Latchoo in the statement.

The Antigua and Barbuda contest marks the first match for Dominica since their strong second-place finish at the 2017 Windward Islands Tournament in which they compiled a record of 1W-3D-0L, 6 points, +1GD.
