LES ABYMES, Guadeloupe -- Guadeloupe wrapped up a perfect League C campaign with their 4th straight victory on Sunday when they defeated the Turks and Caicos Islands by a score of 10-0.

Guadeloupe came into the game with a sizable lead in the standings and could have advanced with a light loss, but they certainly didn’t play cautiously. Raphael Mirval opened the scoring in just the 2nd minute, slotting the ball home past Pendieno Brooks.

Just minutes later, Mirval struck again; this time with a powerful header via a corner kick in the 6th minute. Vidian Valerius notched a third in the 7th minute; his first goal for Guadeloupe.

Dimitri Ramothe added the 4th on a diving header in the 30th minute, right across the face of goal onto the far post. Geoffray Durbant netted the 5th in the 39th minute.

Mirval completed his hat trick in the 53rd minute, jumping on a loose ball in the box. He finishes the group stage with 7 goals, the most in League C. Later goals were added on by Durbant (63’), Ramothe (75’), Vikash Tille (80’), and Elbert Anatol (90’).

Guadeloupe join Bonaire and Guatemala as League C representatives in the first round of 2021 Gold Cup qualifiers, with the fourth spot to be decided on Tuesday between Barbados and the Cayman Islands.
