DENVER, Colorado Opportunity knocks for both Martinique and Cuba, who will face off against each other this Wednesday at Broncos Stadium at Mile High in Denver, Colorado on the second matchday of Group A of the 2019 Concacaf Gold Cup.

Both teams suffered defeats in their respective Gold Cup openers, Martinique falling 4-0 to Canada and Cuba 7-0 versus Mexico.

Nevertheless, a spot in the next round is still there for the taking with a win on Wednesday.

While this will be the eighth meeting between the two teams, they have never met in a Gold Cup. Martinique has just one victory in the previous even encounters, but it came in their most recent meeting in 2012, a 1-0 win.

FW Kevin Parsemain will be keen to return to the scoresheet for Martinique after having several good scoring chances spoiled by Canada GK Milan Borjan.

Cuba will be plenty motivated as well, and FW Maikel Reyes is a threat to notch a game-winning goal, just like he did in the 2015 Gold Cup in a 1-0 win over Guatemala.
