Gold Cup Player Profile: Sloan Privat (French Guiana)
For French Guiana, Sloan Privat seems to have a knack for coming up big on important footballing occasions.
In the first leg of the 2015 CONCACAF Gold Cup qualifying playoff against visiting Honduras, he scored two goals in a 3-1 win.
Then, Privat struck for three goals as French Guiana earned its first-ever CONCACAF Gold Cup berth by rallying to post a 5-2 win over host Haiti in a 2016/17 Scotiabank CFU Men’s Caribbean Cup third-round encounter on November 9, 2016.
Finally, the forward netted the only goal in French Guiana’s 1-0 win over host Martinique in the 2016/17 Caribbean Cup third place match on June 25, 2017.
Although only 27-years-old, Privat has enjoyed a long career in France, playing for Ligue 1 sides Sochaux, Caen and, currently, Guingamp.
