SANTA CLARA, California – Two years ago, Jamaica produced one of the greatest upsets in CONCACAF Gold Cup history, beating the United States, 2-1, in the semifinals at the Georgia Dome.

The Reggae Boyz ultimately fell 3-1 to Mexico in the final, but they’ll have another chance to lift the trophy on Wednesday, when they meet the Americans in the 2017 decider at Levi’s Stadium.

The sides have met four times in Gold Cup play, with the U.S. holding a 3-1 advantage in wins:

The U.S. is shooting for its sixth Gold Cup title, while Jamaica is looking for its first.

Here are some storylines to watch:

- This will be the USA’s 10th appearance in the Gold Cup final.  It has compiled a 3W-2D-4L record.  In the two draws, the Americans ended up lifting the trophy by prevailing on penalty kicks.  Is a sixth title in their future?  If yes, how will it be achieved?

- For the knockout phase of the competition, the U.S. added a group of veterans to the roster in a bid to capture the title.  That approach has paid off with Clint Dempsey, Michael Bradley, Jozy Altidore and Tim Howard all playing roles in the quarterfinal and semifinal victories.  Can they maintain that form for one more match?

- Only defender Kemar Lawrence, midfielder Je-Vaughn Watson and forward Darren Mattocks played for Jamaica in the 2015 final and are on the current roster.  Are they ready to use that experience and play a major role in bringing the trophy to the Caribbean for the first time?

- The Blake factor.  Jamaica goalkeeper Andre Blake has been nothing short of sensational in the Gold Cup.  His reputation in CONCACAF grows with every save and win.  Is Wednesday the day he makes a global impression?

- A pair of in-form teams … Jamaica is unbeaten in nine of its last 10 Gold Cup games (7W-2D-1L), while the U.S. is unbeaten in 16 of its last 17 Gold Cup outings (13-3-1). Which side will add a second loss to the notable runs?
